SelfDrvn Integration with Microsoft Teams

Get rewarded for being an awesome part of your team, appreciate similarly awesome colleagues and set individual and team goals for everyday productivity and long-term success by using SelfDrvn on Microsoft Teams! Here’s a quick guide to know what’s in it for you:

Please note:
1. You need to have an active SelfDrvn company account to use this app.
2. All users need to be active and part of the same SelfDrvn company account.

Sign In

If you’ve already signed up for a SelfDrvn account at https://app.selfdrvn.net/, and you’ve activated your account, you can access your SelfDrvn account by replying Sign In to this chat box. Alternatively, you can click on the chat text field, expand “What can I do?”, choose the option Sign In and press Enter.

Click the Sign In button


You’ll be redirected to 
https://signin.selfdrvn.net. Type in your registered email id and click Sign In

Enter your password and click Sign In

Chatbot Commands

Get a summary of your points, goals, Quests and position on the company leaderboard as cards directly in Microsoft Teams. Click on the chat text field, expand ‘What can I do?’ – choose the option Help and press Enter to know more.


You can also type in the Help chatbot command and get the help card

Using SelfDrvn in Microsoft Teams

Now that you’re all set up, let’s start using SelfDrvn!

Viewing Points and Rewards

Type in the Points command in the chat text field and press Enter to view your earned points and current rank directly in Microsoft Teams. From the chatbot, you can also go to the Rewards page to redeem your earned points or go to the Quests page to earn more points.

Click on Spend Points Here to go to the Rewards page in the Microsoft Teams Home tab

Viewing Quests

Via the Chat Bot

Type in the Quest command in the chat text field and press Enter to view your ongoing Quests directly in Microsoft Teams. You can go to the Quests page to earn points from the chatbot.

Click on View Quests to go to the Quests page under the home tab directly in Microsoft Teams

Note: You can locate Quests on the side menu by clicking on the Home tab.

Viewing Quest Notifications

Users will receive alerts when new Quests arrive. You can view that Quest by clicking on View Quest.

You can also view Quest Reminders before the quest expiry in Microsoft Teams. You can then View Quest and act.

Viewing Goals

Via the Chat Bot

Type in Goal command in the chat text field and press Enter to view your Ongoing, Pending Review and Overdue goals directly in Microsoft Teams. You can go to the Goals page to create goals from the chatbot.

Click on View Goals to go to the Goals page where you can Add New goals and check your current goals status.
Note: If you are a people manager then you can view your direct report’s goals under the Team Goals tab

Click on Add New Goal to create a goal that is aligned to company growth or personal growth

Viewing Goal Notifications

You will receive Goal Alerts related to your team members in Microsoft Teams directly. You can view the goal or message the user.

You will receive goal reminder notifications in Microsoft Teams directly. You can view the goal, submit the goal for review (to your manager) or change the due date of the goal.


As a people manager, you will receive Goal Overdue alerts related to your team member. You can also view the goal in the Team Goals tab.

As a people manager, you can Approve or Reject team members’ goals in Microsoft Teams directly.


Viewing the Leaderboard

Via the Chat Bot

Type in the Leaderboard command in the chat text field and press Enter to view the weekly leaderboard (Top 5 employees) directly in Microsoft Teams.

Click on View Leaderboard to go to the leaderboard page and view your rank/position within your team and company on a previous week, weekly, all time, and monthly basis.

Via the Configurable tab
Go to any channel or group created in Microsoft Teams. Click on the + icon and add the SelfDrvn app

Click on + to add SelfDrvn app to the Teams channel or chat or group directly in Microsoft Teams

Click on SelfDrvn app and add it to the Microsoft Teams tab.

Log in with your SelfDrvn credentials to view the leaderboard tab under the Teams channel.

Note: Users already logged into the SelfDrvn app in Microsoft Teams bypass the login automatically.

Click on Save to view the leaderboard with the SelfDrvn members who are part of that Teams channel.

Viewing Reward Post notifications

Via the configurable tab

Go to any channel or group created in Microsoft Teams.

Click on the + icon and add the SelfDrvn app to activate or enable the reward posts on your channels/groups

Click on + to add the SelfDrvn app to the Teams channel or group directly in Microsoft Teams

Click on the SelfDrvn app and add it to the Teams tab.

Login with your SelfDrvn credentials to view the rewards posts under team’s channel.

Note: Users already logged into the SelfDrvn app in Microsoft Teams bypass the login automatically.

SelfDrvn users will be notified of all rewards awarded by SelfDrvn admins in the Microsoft Teams channel or group.
Note: All members who are registered on SelfDrvn and are part of this group or channel will get notified about the admin rewards

Viewing Your Profile

Via Tab

View your profile information by clicking on the Profile tab directly in the Microsoft Teams SelfDrvn app
